While spectacular Table Mountain National Park has an extensive network of hiking trails to explore, guests at Tom’s Cabin can embark on a number of hikes from outside the back door or just a few minutes’ drive away. Hikers should either go with a hiking guide, or be extremely well-informed and cautious when hiking without a guide.
Some of the hikes around Simon’s Town include a 2-hour historic waterfall walk, a 4-hour walk to Swartkop and a 5-hour hike from Smitswinkel to Simon’s Town. Guided walks and hikes in the area are available from local resident (and trained EMR paramedic) Geoffrey Hart. Cell: 082 385 8351, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
